About crwded

crwded is a social app that automatically assembles small, recurring, activity-based local groups — starting in Montreal. After college, the built-in social infrastructure disappears: clubs, classes, dorms. Making friends in Montreal as an adult shouldn't require luck or endless Meetup scrolling. We're building the replacement.

How it works

  1. Build your profile — Chat with our AI to share your interests, schedule, and what you're looking for. Takes about 3 minutes.
  2. Get matched — We auto-assemble a group of 4–8 people in Montreal based on real availability and shared interests. No swiping, no random strangers.
  3. Just show up — We schedule it, suggest a Montreal venue, and handle the RSVPs. Your group meets weekly — no organizer needed.

Why we built this

crwded started with a conversation I kept having — with friends, with family, with myself. Everyone around me in Montreal was saying the same thing: making friends as an adult is nearly impossible, and the social side of life had quietly disappeared. Not from a lack of wanting it, but from a lack of structure. After college, the scaffolding that used to create friendships — shared spaces, recurring schedules, small groups — just vanishes.

I built crwded because I was tired of hearing "we should hang out" go nowhere. The problem wasn't motivation — it was coordination. So we took the coordination off people's plates entirely. crwded assembles the group, schedules the time, suggests the place in Montreal, and handles the RSVPs. You just show up.

Who is it for?

  • Busy Montreal professionals who want consistent social plans without the effort of organizing.
  • Anyone tired of "we should hang out" texts that go nowhere.
  • Newcomers and expats looking for a community in Montreal.
